There are people in this community who will help you and store your garbage until the next scheduled pickup. Just call. It's not hard. The secretary treasurer and fire chief numbers are pretty well known by everyone. They can direct you to someone who can lend a hand. Once the critters get in the bags you left at the road side it's a fantastic feast for them, but a heck of a mess for us to clean up. It not the best image this township wants to exhibit to tourists and members of the community. I saw this happen last year around this time and regretted not going down and cleaning the mess up. Not this time...the fire chief and I went down to clean it up. So...please..in the future, plan ahead. If you have garbage and recycling and you have to leave your property for the season before the next garbage pickup...reach out. This community loves helping people out. Make the call. I for one would gladly help you out.
